Compatibility & Important Information

Certified Refurbished Condition: This product is supplied as Certified Refurbished, not brand new. The Certified Refurbished designation is provided by the supplier. As this is previously owned hardware, minor cosmetic signs of previous use may be present.

Steam and PC Game Compatibility: Steam Deck operates using SteamOS, a Linux-based operating system developed by Valve. Many Windows PC games can run using Valve's Proton compatibility technology. However, not all PC games are supported, and some titles may have restrictions relating to anti-cheat software, launchers or other requirements. Check individual Steam Deck Verified and Playable ratings before purchasing games.

Steam Account and Internet Requirements: A Steam account and internet connection are required for initial setup, game downloads and software updates. Offline play is supported by many installed games, although requirements vary between titles.

Digital Games: Steam Deck is primarily designed for digitally downloaded PC games. No physical games, paid digital game licences or subscriptions are included. The console does not feature a built-in optical disc drive or cartridge slot.

Storage: The integrated 512GB NVMe SSD provides storage for games, applications and system files. Actual usable capacity will be lower due to formatting and operating system requirements. Compatible microSD cards are sold separately.

Power and Charging: The console features a built-in rechargeable 50Wh lithium-ion battery and supports USB-C Power Delivery charging. Valve specifies a 45W USB-C power supply. The inclusion of a UK three-pin adapter in this particular Certified Refurbished package requires confirmation.

Display: This 512GB OLED edition includes a 7.4-inch HDR OLED touchscreen with a native resolution of 1280 x 800 and refresh rates up to 90Hz. It features standard glossy glass rather than the anti-glare etched-glass display found on the standard 1TB OLED edition.

External Displays and Accessories: Steam Deck supports compatible external displays, controllers, keyboards and other peripherals. External display connectivity requires an appropriate USB-C adapter or docking station, available separately.

UK Version: The supplier identifies this as a UK-market Steam Deck OLED. SteamOS supports English-language operation. Availability of games, digital services and wireless functionality may vary by region.

Additional Information: Game performance, software compatibility and battery life depend on individual games, system settings and operating conditions. Steam Deck is a handheld PC gaming system and cannot directly play PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo physical game discs or cartridges.
