Compatibility & Important Information

Nintendo Switch 2 Compatibility: These controllers are designed exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 and support compatible games and features on that console.

Original Nintendo Switch Compatibility: Joy-Con 2 controllers are not compatible with the original Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED or Nintendo Switch Lite consoles. They are a different product from the original Nintendo Switch Joy-Con.

Charging: Joy-Con 2 controllers charge while attached to a Nintendo Switch 2 console or through a compatible Joy-Con 2 Charging Grip, sold separately. The original Nintendo Switch Joy-Con charging accessories are not compatible. No separate charging cable, charging grip or power adapter is included in this set.

Battery: Each Joy-Con 2 has a built-in 500mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Battery life is approximately 20 hours, depending on usage, with a full charge taking around 3.5 hours. Battery replacement arrangements depend on the controller's hardware revision.

Mouse Controls: Both Joy-Con 2 controllers include mouse sensors. This functionality is available only in supported Nintendo Switch 2 games and may require a suitable surface.

GameChat: The right Joy-Con 2 features a dedicated C Button. Using GameChat requires a compatible Nintendo Switch 2 setup and is subject to Nintendo's current account, internet connection and service requirements.

amiibo: The right Joy-Con 2 includes an NFC reader for supported amiibo figures. amiibo figures are sold separately.

Multiplayer: The controllers can be used together or individually in supported games. The number of players and available control options depend on the game being played.
